Capt LW Burroughs is the Owner/Operator of IntraCoastal Experience and a 20 Year US Air Force Retired Veteran. Capt LW has been fishing the Inshore Bay and Gulf waters of the Greater Florida Gulf Coast since he was a child. Born on the Alabama Gulf Coast and raised in the Destin, Florida area, Capt LW has over 40 years of saltwater fishing experience and has compiled a wealth of knowledge of the vast Gulf Coast marine life and local Florida history.
Capt LW is a third generation professional fisherman with his fishing heritage deriving from his Great Grandfather William Dennis, who owned and operated a commercial fishing boat and caught and sold fish along the Gulf Coast. Capt LW’s passion for fishing was truly inspired at an early age under the guidance of his Daddy. As a youth, LW fished with his family and friends from just about any location imaginable. Bridges, canals, boats, and beaches, no matter the location or what they caught it was always about the time and experience together that made each trip an Unforgettable Fishing Adventure. And oh yeah, the way his Mama would fry up that great tasting fish they caught, was also true motivation.
After achieving a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and subsequently completing a distinguished career in the US Air Force, Capt LW officially pursued his professional aspirations to be a Full-Time Professional Guide and Tournament Angler. Capt LW is considered one of the Top Captains on the Gulf Coast. He is a US Coast Guard licensed and insured Captain. Today you can find Capt LW guiding full time/year-round in his home waters of Destin, Florida. When he is not guiding, you can count on the fact he is scouting out new fishing areas for clients and upcoming tournaments, testing new artificial lures and maintaining a constant knowledge on the latest movements of marine species within his Gulf Coast area. Capt LW is a contributor to 3 Gulf Coast Fishing Reports. Capt LW is professionally associated with the Coastal Conservation Association and donates his free-time to Youth Mentoring and Take a Senior Citizen Fishing programs.
Capt LW Burroughs, a Veteran Career Air Force Officer Retired, is an accomplished Tournament Fisherman and has won major fishing tournaments up and down the Gulf Coast.
Capt LW’s notable accolades include being a Two Time Destin Fishing Rodeo Capt of the Year and Capt of the Year Calcutta First Place Winner! Capt LW’s clients who fished his most recent Destin Fishing Rodeo campaign swept 6 of the 8 Inshore Division categories and 3 categories within the Nearshore Gulf Division. In addition, Capt LW and his good friend and tournament angler, Trenny Woodham, garnered a second place overall against some of the Gulf Coasts most seasoned inshore fishing teams in the Inaugural Alabama Inshore Slam 5-stop series Tournament Championship Trail.
Capt LW continues the tradition of family fishing and shares his passion for fishing with his wife Benvinda, son Darius and his two daughters Natasha and Brandi. To date it is reported Capt LW is only the 5th Best Angler in his household!

Capt Chuck Bonner was born on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and raised on the coastal waters of the Greater Destin, Florida area. Capt Chuck is known for his charismatic “Can Do” attitude toward targeting some of the most sought after Inshore Sport Fish to landing some of the most coveted Offshore Pelagic species. Capt Chuck brings over 20 years of professional saltwater fishing experience to IntraCoastal Experience. Capt Chuck has an impressive resume of Gulf Coast Tournament wins to include the prestigious Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic, Cobia World Championships and Destin Fishing Rodeo.
Capt Chuck is a Full Time, Year Round Career Fishing Guide and has garnered a well-earned reputation as one of the Top Captains in the Destin, Florida area. He is a US Coast Guard licensed and insured Captain. His passion as a Full Time Guide truly shines with his attention to detail as well as his Gentle Comedic Approach in teaching Fun Fishing to Beginner Anglers or bringing out the Best in the most Avid Sport Fishermen. Captain Brett Franklin
Born and raised on nearby Navarre Beach, Capt Brett Franklin could always be found in and around the Emerald Coast Beaches of the Gulf Coast. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed surfing and wakeboarding. However his one true passion was the challenge of saltwater fishing.
Capt Brett spent many of his days fishing from sun up to sun down. Whether it was the inshore waters of the bay or the deeper waters of the gulf, the thrill of fishing had made a firm impression.
Like many local gulf coast youth, Capt Brett decided to enlist into the United States Navy, where he not only broadened his military career focus, operating large naval vessels but also further cultivated his passion by fishing in some of the most remote international destinations.
After honorably serving in the US Navy, Capt Brett came back to the gulf coast and married the love of his life Bethany. He then pursued his passion to become a full time professional fishing guide. Capt Brett honed his craft and became a private for hire fishing guide for a number of private sport yachts before joining the team at Intracoastal Experience. Capt Brett brings an obvious passion to teach and promote fun fishing with all of his clients. He enjoys sharing his love and passion for fishing with his clients who don’t get to experience our gulf coast lifestyle everyday. While guiding clients to fun fishing success, his laid back demeanor and comforting sense of humor are sure to keep his clients happy while providing a lifetime of memories.
